Does anyone have any ideas why my tummys still quite hard after my hysterectomy 15 weeks ago,?

my tummy is still bloated when i sit or lay down its very jelly belly but when i stand up it goes quite hard and by the end of the day it swells up which is what id expect as im on my feet all day. my consultant sad she cant think it could be anything other than wind or gas as she put it. im not in any discomfort my friend whos a farmacist said to use Deflatine which makes me trump brilliantly. im going to the toilet with no probs iv been told this hardness can last for a year or more, nurses i know said its my bowel but i want to know why and will it go?? thanks
