Democrats controlled the White House and had a filibuster proof Congress in 09, how did they do?

Democrats controlled it all and Republicans had no power. This is the best sample to study on rather Democrats in office are positive for America, there was no excuses or blame that could be placed on others for any failures. So, how did they do?
