Should I keep my horse from itching herself?

ok it might be sweet-itch if her fur smells a bit funny to your usual horses then its probably sweet itch the best thing to do is to keep her mane and tail covered and my pony has a boeet blanket ( made for sweet itch ) it is very good you can also get tablets cream etc i have kill itch which is amazing and hibiscrub ( once a week or daily ) or equine america which soothes the pain and helps it grow and aloe vera gel soothes it but does not help it grow. sweet itch as u probably know is a allergic reaction to the Sylvia of mosquito's and it happens from march to September i hope i helped!! x oh and dont use any brushes on your other horses that you used on her because its transferrable xx
