Which travel destination?

i want to see some of the world, for maybe 6 months. Would quite like to do some work while away, not necessarily for money. Does anyone have tips of countries they've been to and worthwhile jobs i could do. Quite like the idea of Latin America and South America. Or Africa. Heard good things about Costa Rica. Also heard good things about Malawi. Any suggestions appreciated.
